About PramTraders

PramTraders is a marketplace for buying and selling pre-loved baby and toddler items. We connect parents and caregivers to help them find quality items at great prices while giving baby gear a second life.

Yes, listing items on PramTraders is completely free. There are no selling fees — sellers receive 100% of the listed price.

Buyers pay a small Buyer Protection Fee on top of the item price. This covers secure payment processing and Buyer Protection, ensuring your purchase is safe.

Only physical baby and toddler-related items are allowed on PramTraders. This includes clothing, toys, furniture, strollers, car seats, feeding equipment, and other baby essentials. Digital goods, services, and non-baby items are not permitted.

PramTraders is currently available in the UK only. We may expand to other regions in the future.

Buying

Shipping is arranged automatically through PramTraders. When you purchase an item, a prepaid shipping label is generated for the seller. You can track your parcel in real time from your order page once the seller has shipped it.

Your payment is held securely by PramTraders until you confirm receipt of the item. The seller is only paid out after you mark the order as received. If you don't confirm within 2 days of delivery, the order is automatically completed.

Yes! You can send an offer on any listing. The seller has 24 hours to accept, decline, or counter your offer. If they counter, you can accept, decline, or counter back. Offers and counter-offers expire after 24 hours if not responded to. You can have one active offer per listing at a time.

You have 2 days after delivery (when tracking confirms delivery) to open a dispute if the item is significantly not as described. Our team will review the case and can issue a full refund if justified. You can open a dispute from your order page.

Sellers have 5 working days to ship your order. If they need more time, they can request a 3 or 5-day extension (which requires your approval). If the shipping deadline passes, the order will be automatically cancelled and you will be refunded in full.

If a seller has enabled Holiday Mode, their listings will be temporarily paused. You won't be able to purchase or make offers on their items during this time. The listing page will show a holiday notice. Check back later or browse similar items from other sellers.

Selling

When you publish your first listing, you'll be asked to complete a quick payment setup through Stripe. It only takes about 2 minutes — you'll provide your date of birth, address, and bank details. You only need to do this once, and all your future listings will publish instantly.

After the buyer confirms receipt (or after auto-confirmation 2 days after delivery), payouts are processed within 7 working days and sent directly to your bank account via Stripe.

When you receive an order, a prepaid shipping label is generated automatically. Download the label from your order page, attach it to the parcel, and drop it off at the specified carrier. Mark the order as shipped once you've posted it.

Only physical baby and toddler-related items in good condition. Items must be accurately described and photographed. Prohibited items include recalled products, counterfeit goods, and anything not related to babies/toddlers.

Listings expire after 30 days if they don't sell. Expired listings are hidden from other users but not deleted — you can reactivate them at any time from your "My Listings" page.

You have 5 working days to ship an order. If you need more time, you can request a 3 or 5-day extension from the buyer. If the deadline passes without shipping, the order will be automatically cancelled and the buyer refunded.

Holiday Mode lets you temporarily pause all your listings while you're away. Your listings won't appear in search results and buyers won't be able to purchase or make offers. You can enable it from your Profile Settings. When you turn it off, all your listings are automatically restored.

Yes, you can cancel an order before shipping. The buyer will receive a full refund automatically. Go to your order page and select "Cancel order".

Yes! On your "My Listings" page, each listing card shows a view count with an eye icon. This tracks how many unique visitors have viewed your listing, helping you understand which items are getting the most interest.

Safety & Protection

Buyer Protection means your payment is held securely until you confirm receipt. If the item is significantly not as described, you can open a dispute within 2 days of delivery. Our team will review it and issue a refund if appropriate. Buyer Protection does not cover change of mind.

PramTraders uses Stripe for identity verification. Stripe performs verification automatically as part of the onboarding process — no manual ID upload is required on PramTraders itself.

Messages may be monitored for safety purposes to ensure a secure and respectful environment for all users. Keep all communication on the platform — never share personal contact details or agree to pay outside of PramTraders.

Listings are reviewed by our system to ensure they meet our guidelines and contain only allowed items. Listings that violate our rules may be removed without notice.

Users who scam, sell prohibited items, or break platform rules will be warned or banned from PramTraders. If you are a buyer affected by fraud, you will be refunded under Buyer Protection.

Please exercise extreme caution when buying used car seats. PramTraders allows the listing of car seats, but we strongly recommend the following: (1) Never buy a car seat that has been in an accident — even minor impacts can compromise the seat's safety. (2) Check the expiry date — car seats have a manufacturer expiry date (usually 6–10 years from manufacture). Do not use an expired seat. (3) Check for recalls — verify the model hasn't been recalled by checking the manufacturer's website. (4) Ensure all parts and labels are intact, including the harness, buckles, and instruction labels. (5) Only buy from sellers you trust and always ask questions about the seat's history. PramTraders cannot guarantee the safety or history of used car seats. The responsibility lies with the buyer to assess whether a used car seat is safe for their child.

Payments & Payouts

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and held by PramTraders until the buyer confirms receipt. The seller only receives payment after the transaction is confirmed as complete.

Sellers receive payment after the buyer confirms receipt of the item (or after auto-confirmation 2 days post-delivery). Payouts are then processed within 7 working days to the seller's bank account.

PramTraders accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) through our secure Stripe integration. Apple Pay and Google Pay may also be available depending on your device and browser.

Yes. Refunds are issued when: a seller cancels the order before shipping, the seller doesn't ship within the deadline, or a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour. Refunds are returned to your original payment method and may take a few working days to appear.

Account & Rules

No, there are no listing limits on PramTraders. You can list as many items as you want.

You must be 18 years or older to use PramTraders. This is required for payment processing and to comply with Stripe's terms of service.

PramTraders is currently only available to users in the UK. We may expand to other regions in the future.

To delete your account, please contact our support team through the Contact page. Note that any active orders must be completed or cancelled before your account can be deleted.

Yes, you can block users from your conversations. Blocked users won't be able to message you or interact with your listings.
